What are your rates?

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance and am an out-of-network provider. I provide superbills that you can submit to use your out-of-network benefits. Most insurances will reimburse anywhere from 30-80% of treatment costs depending on your plan. I recommend calling the 1-800 number on the back of your insurance card to learn more about your mental health/behavioral health out-of-network benefits. Below are some questions to ask when calling:-Do I have mental health/behavioral health out-of-network benefits?-What is my out-of-network deductible and how much has been met this year?-What percent of the session rate will be reimbursed after meeting my out-of-network deductible?*40% of my clients use their OON benefits to receive a portion of the session fee back, 40% use their FSA/HSA to pay for sessions and the remaining 20% are completely self-pay.

Are you offering in-person sessions?

Not at this time. Currently, I offer only virtual sessions through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. For couples sessions, I recommend being together and sharing a screen, but I am able to accommodate partners being in separate locations on separate devices.

Question 4

What is your cancellation policy?

In order to cancel or reschedule an appointment for any reason, I require at least 24 hours notice. For sessions cancelled or rescheduled less then 24 hours beforehand, a late fee of $100 will be charged. For sessions that are not attended, the full session fee will be charged. These charges are not covered by insurance when superbills are submitted.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept all major credit cards, as well as FSA/HSA cards. Please note that FSA/HSA cards are not able to cover late cancellation/no show fees.

How many sessions is premarital therapy?

I recommend 8-12 sessions (meeting weekly) for premarital therapy in order to get through all the different topics. We can always meet for longer if desired. Many of my premarital couples transition into couples therapy, either right after finishing premarital or after a big life transition, such as starting a family.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

The Good Faith Estimate does not account for late cancellation fees, no-show fees, crisis sessions, non-therapeutic charges, case management fees, court litigation fees, or other financial arrangements determined on a case by case basis.
